Moments That Made US

Now – September 20, 2026

On July 4, 2026, the United States will mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Moments That Made US explores the how generations of Americans have interpreted and shaped the ideals expressed in the Declaration.

Bringing this nationwide conversation to the Inland Empire, Moments That Made US is organized around five themes drawn directly from the Declaration: Created Equal; Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness; Free and Independent States; Consent of the Governed; and We Mutually Pledge. Through these themes, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the people, events, decisions, that shaped the United States. Together, these stories reveal that the nation’s history was never inevitable—it has always been shaped by the choices of its people.

Developed through a multistate collaboration for America 250, Moments That Made US adapts the acclaimed exhibition created by History Colorado while connecting local history to the broader American experience.

Día de los Muertos Exhibition

October 8 – November 22

The Museum honors Día de los Muertos through its 28th annual exhibition. Each year, the community celebrates the holiday with community-built ofrendas—traditional altars, handcrafted and adorned with marigolds, photographs, candles, favorite foods, and personal mementos to welcome the spirits and celebrate their memory. The ofrendas create sacred thresholds between the living and those who have passed. Each one tells a story of love, loss, and remembrance. This year's exhibition features ofrendas by local artists, schools, and families, united by the belief that the departed are never truly gone, only absent. We invite everyone to join us in reflecting and remembering.
