The Emporia Arts District is a creative, arts-driven neighborhood located in historic and eclectic Downtown Ontario. Shop Artisan Vendors - Featuring rare and original goods such as paintings, photography, ceramics, metal art, handmade jewelry, baked goods, and much more. Tour the Lofts - Many of these Creative Live/Work Lofts are open for tours so that you can check out the businesses and artists. There are painters, artisan jewelers, acting studios, makeup artists, vintage finds and more.

In the late 1950s Los Angeles Times art critic Jules Langsner included Florence Arnold as one of the key Southern California artists contributing to what he called the Hard-Edge School of painters. The other artists in this group included Karl Benjamin, Lorser Feitelson, Frederick Hammersley, Helen Lundeberg and John McLaughlin.

South Gallery: Old Broads: Inland Edition

In a time and place where 20-somethings are botoxed and 30-somethings routinely get “a little work done”; whose dominant industry is peddling our youth-obsessed, airbrushed culture to the rest of the world; what is a woman of a certain age to do? Old Broads features the work of female visual artists over the age of 50, currently working in Southern California. The exhibit seeks to showcase and celebrate artists who bring a lifetime of experience and experiences to their work.

North Gallery
The North Gallery exhibits three-dimensional art – sculpture and ceramics – from CCMA’s collection. It also features the plaster model of the portrait bust of George Chaffey, the founder of Ontario. The model was created by internationally-renowned sculptor John Svenson, a resident of Upland and long-time local history buff. The model was used to create the bronze portrait sculpture of George Chaffey that is installed in the Ontario City Hall plaza.

Elisa Arancibia is a Peruvian painter. She discovered her passion for art at an early age. Elisa took art classes throughout high school and graduated as a teacher in Peru in 1990. After her graduation she started studying at the MALI (Museum of Art of Lima -Peru). Elisa has been a resident of California since 2001 and she loves the beauty of the California landscapes and seascapes.
